So, I came back to EQ2 from a long hiatus from the game (10+ years) due to the hype from Varsoon TLE and a few other friends deciding to come back with me. Something I noticed right off the bat is that the lip sync from voice overs for almost all the races in the game doesn't work. It affects both genders of the race. Here is the list I have discovered: Dwarf Halfling High Elf Wood Elf Fae Barbarian Erudite Human Half Elf Gnome Arasai Dark Elf Ogre The below list seems to work: Froglok Kerran Iksar Sarnak Troll Ratonga Races not tested: Vah Shir Aerakyn Freeblood I find it interesting that Ogre doesn't work but Troll does. Also, many of the monstrous, or non humanoid, races seem to work.
you's discovered a subtle foundational problem,...! superb attention to detail! der be's sooooo much potential for EQs, even in regards to Machinama, me's hopes the foundations be lookied into's. der be's WAYS more potential in EQ, with all its varied lands, abilities, etc. makeys RvB pale in comparison.
I am not certain what you mean by foundational problems, but I heard that there might have been a bone rework in the game and I wonder if it broke the lip sync to VOs.
me's means foundations dat support Norrath(hint: Role-Play) as a whole. deys 'temps to makey ebby wun forgots, ohnee dey makey pwetty/fwashy tings in attempt to distract,...
So to be sure, when you are doing emotes, there's no voice and the mouths aren't moving? Or are you talking about talking to npcs who have voice over?
Also, ttobey, this is BOTH situations. NPCs, emotes, EVERYTHING with a voice over. The above posted list did not have any animating mouths.
