Bought this mount from the Frostfell vendor because it looked fun. It does NOT convert back from a house item if you convert it. Here's your warning if you would like to not spend mount-level money buying a glorified permanent plushie, don't convert this mount if you get it. It does NOT convert back to a mount, even though there was no warning saying that.
Cannot reproduce this issue. You have the house item in your inventory, and do not have a merchant window or the like open that would prevent it from displaying the dialog node on examine? Also, if you are on a pvp server, mounts will only convert while you are in a house zone.
Found the issue, my repro wasn't working because I had multiple copies of the mount in my inventory. This is fixed for the next update.
