The new personal furniture depot will be from a tinkering scroll that will be available as a potential drop from the VoV tradeskill missions. It will hold *most* tradeable furniture. (There is also a guildhall amenity version) Since we didn't have a full array of stocked houses and dungeons over on beta, we'll need some extra help finding things that have been missed as players get their depots.. If you've found something that you think should go into the depot and doesn't, check the following questions, then post with the item name if you've found a valid candidate. Is it fully tradeable? Yes, then maybe it can go in. Does it also stack? Yes, then maybe it can go in. Can it be customized? (player-written book, house actor, mannequin, housepet, house sign) Then NO, it cannot and should not go in.
As a point of clarification, does this imply that it has to be tradable AND stack as well to be eligible to go in the depot?
I would think, either/or? But definitely not customizable, I fully agree with Mum there. :-/ Even though we can put customizable things in the Moving Crate, I think that's definitely not the same thing and doesn't work the same way (our Depots don't poof away when they're empty, for one thing); apparently, things don't really "stack" in the 'Crate. Yes. But if you find something tradeable that does NOT stack and you really think it should, and it isn't one of the things above that I said do not go in, mention it here and I can tell you yes or no. Edit: Home Depots will also be a guild amenity. They should be available with the next patch.

Books are in the grey zone, even when they're not customizable. I'll think on it, but it is a really small, eclectic list of quest reward books that are tradeable, and they may be more trouble than they're worth.

A Gehein (\aITEM 1815500142 -965029543:a Gehein\/a) does not stack. It doesn't show as a pet, so wanted to mention it here.
No, it's a pet. You can't name it (I think), but it wanders around, and won't stay where you initially place it.
A Gehein is I believe closer to a plushie, it does not go anywhere to my knowledge and does not have the normal pet commands. Aren't those "greeting cards" basically modified books? They can be edited I thought. Unless there are some that are just house items.
The Gehein is a house pet, but without the commands. There are some writeable greeting cards and some that aren't, their names are similar would have to check crafting book to know which aren't , not in game atm.

What I often do if I copy something from a website like Lera's is do Copy/Paste into Notepad first to kill all the formatting, then into a post. EDIT: Ah! The ones you can write in are called Personalized Frostfell [whatever] Greeting Card, as opposed to just plain Frostfell [whatever] Greeting Card, where the [whatever] is like Carol, Feast, Wishes, etc. The just plain ones are the generic-ish house items. Uwk
