Please excuse not accepting the answer in the other post, as it missed the point entirely and was closed prematurely. It's certainly not fixed.

    To quote Caith:

"Before the update, Shadow Trickery was an absolute override amount of Fervor, which depending on the level and tier and version of Whirling Blade could decrease the amount of Fervor you gained from Whirling Blades, and it would absolutely do so as Whirling Blades increases in power. For example, if Whirling Blades granted 7.3 Fervor, apprentice Shadow Trickery would reduce the amount by 5.6.

The new version of the effect scales the amount of Fervor you gain based off of the source ability, so it cannot reduce Whirling Blades base grant and in all cases will be a net gain as Whirling Blades gains power."

The problem is that this does result in a significant fervor decrease compared to how it worked before.
Previously with Ancient level Whirling Blades and Ancient level Shadow Trickery, the tooltip on WB showed it boosted fervor by 20. In reality, it only boosted it by 15, and that was the bug, it robbed us of 5 potential fervor.
After the "fix", again, Ancient in both abilities, WB grants 11.9 fervor with ST active. That's an increase of only 4.6 fervor from the normal value of WB at ancient. So we've lost 3.1 fervor from the bugged version, and 8.1 fervor from the value shown on the tooltip.
I'm not sure how granting less fervor = a net gain?
