Wardrobe: How To Put Wardrobe Item Onto House Actor or Mannequin

A few people have asked me how to put wardrobe item onto their house actor. Hope this helps!

I haven't done any house actors yet so this was really helpful to me. Thanks!

I haven't done any Wardrobe stuff yet (the idea of it being DESTROYED afterwards makes my teeth itch, but on the other hand...all those blasted Nightmarish Ceremonial Plate armor pieces...how many Wardrobe slots do we get, initially?), so this could be helpful in the future! :)

EDIT: I've since (between Sept. 2017 and March 2021) used the Wardrobe a bit more, especially for those items that just screamed to be with a particular character (incredibly awesome shields that Mages can't wear [Ale Shield, I'm looking at YOU]; incredibly awesome "Legionnaire" gear for The Last Centurion [Doctor Who fans will get that ;->], but he's a Templar on Norrath and can't use a tower shield and short sword, etc.), but every time I try to just Equip it, the game screams that it just isn't done with that sort of thing for that sort of class, regardless of whether or not it's just in an Appearance slot (I think the Powers gave us the Wardrobe because they couldn't figure out how to make the Appearance slots ignore restrictions). :-/

The number of wardrobe slots depends on which level edition of Kunark Ascending you have - you'll receive 6, 12, or 18 slots IIRC. If you didn't buy the xpac and just wait for the next xpac, I'm guessing you'll get 6 when it's part of the F2P content.

Just be very careful to check for special effects, as it was initially said you would lose them when adding stuff to the wardrobe! I keep those in my bags when not equipped on the appearance tab.

When they say "slots," is that like Head Slot, Chest Slot, etc. (in which case, there wouldn't even be enough for a full set of armor, let alone weapons, etc.), or is it like a slot for a full outfit (all armor, weapons/shields, ranged stuff, etc.)?

When they say 6 slots it would be 6 head slots, 6 chest slots, 6 shoulder slots, 6 cloak slots, 6 forearm slots, 6 hand slots, 6 leg slots, 6 feet slots. So you can have 6 full armor sets. The appearance rings go into the hand slot.

I know this is really old, but a lot of the suggestions/steps/etc. still work...one thing I can't figure out is the Export function; I'm guessing that saves a copy of the manifest (as it was in that particular moment in space/time ;->), but as what? A spreadsheet, a .txt file? When I tried it, it took me to the directory where my Saved Layouts live, but nothing more than that. :-/
