Why is the level 60 Far Seas tradeskill gear so expensive to repair? I mean, you shouldn't be getting killed while wearing it for tradeskill purposes, but it's still possible. I'm otherwise using the free level 100 gear from Plane of Magic, and that itself may be the reason why that costs only mere silver to repair, but level 60 gear shouldn't cost 17 platinum to repair.
That does seem a bit strange. Can I avoid that tradeskill gear ? Or is it required to tradeskill at level 60 ?
It's optional, but it's not like there's any other dedicated full sets of tradeskill gear for the majority of the game. The only reason why I found myself repairing these is because I didn't have time to switch out when a dragon spawned during the anniversary event. In most cases I switch out before going out to adventure.
