That sounds like its a different issue then AXSIS, could you send me the details of the problem you're experiencing? Or post them here.

Even when clicking download from www.everquest2.com/home it says, "waiting for launch.daybreakgames.com..." and nothing downloads. I would think this is a top priority when considering this is the starting page for new players. I just spent hours trying to 'fix' my game as it crashed when zoning then thought I would try a fresh install. Hopefully they can fix it soon.

After reading through the entire thread, I hope they can fix this soon. This is likely related and does not seem to be on the user's end as some comments suggest.

still not working for me. antonica.vpk, char_c.vpk, and char_monkey.vpk is where I stall out.

I too am just now having this problem after playing the game for the last 10 days. The launcher just disappears after a few minutes of trying to download content. I have tried a clean install and get "Warning: Retrying help/de/helpfile_grouping_forming.vm and several other .vm files.

Are any of the folks having issues using Steam, or are straight downloading? :-/

I too was having this issue yesterday where the launcher would disappear after a few minutes at 0.0% download. I tried both the Steam version and the download straight from the website and there was no difference whatsoever. Also tried it on two separate machines and it was the same.

That being said, I tried it again just now and the launcher is working fine for me.

Even after I downloaded directly from daybreak, i get the same issue. Different install locations having the same issue. Windows 10, all latest updates, firewalls allowed all the rest of the patch to this point. tried to delete the three files and see if i could get it to patch past them. Nope.

Yeah, bad idea. Just like having two anti-virus/anti-trojan programs. They wil ltend to fight each other and let bad programs through.

This is true. In the cases of firewalls and anti-viruses, more is definitely NOT better. Perhaps not quite as bad as having none at all, but bad all the same. I know the idea is that having more equals greater security, but in this case 2 is less than 1.

Right. Defender is weak and firewall is similar to car in which everything you need to control and drive is hidden from you under hood

How do you download game client? Which browser downloader is used? If you are using IE, try resetting its configuration settings. I stopped using IE a while back. I never used edge or what ever microsoft is calling IE now. I downloaded with Chrome. I can get the launcher to run. It downloads till it hits three files, and then stops. antonica.vpk, char_c.vpk, and char_monkey.vpk.. these files is where the launcher stops downloading. I posted a thread to see if I can get a copy of these three files from someone else, but as yet no one is willing to post them. The launcher works fine till one of these three files comes up, then it stalls and continues to try to download. The launcher allows three files to download at a time. Three files that the launcher says that the update server does not respond to.
