We looked back all the Community Managers EQ2 has had over the last 15 years. It's 17 names. Based on the history, I think we've got about a 1 in 3 chance of getting one that prioiritizes the needs of players.

I am not being snarky, I didn't realize we had a community manager.

    We don't, right now.

    Houses and House Words...no

Name them...Maybe? I think I got 15 of them listed here. Not sure these are 100% accurate. Over time I think there were shared responsibilities in Community team so some of these might not have been per se delegated / dedicated the sole EQ2 Community Manager. I listed them in alpha order as I can guess at the timeline, but there is no way to remember that off the top of my head.

There you go! And yeah, frankly, it'd be nice to kind of catch one's breath for a moment from all the constantly added complications. ;->

I'll never understand yall need for ethereal events.

I get the same stuff, for free, without the mindless, game burn-out, grind.

You don't get the exact same stuff at all. The stuff you can purchase with ethereal coins (or before that, the ethereal weapons that dropped) are usually really, really good. The runes have been very good the last couple of expansions, to the extent that people are still using the first wave of runes.

Now, that being said, in CD eventually you can get better gear than the Planar Ethereal Breastplate and Shoulders from last summer's ethereals, if you raid. But your raid group needs to be doing T3-T4 before you start seeing better.

I don't think anyone is crippled or ruined for life if they missed a summer ethereal, because the next expansion usually introduced Much Better Stuff. Also, I noticed last summer they were selling the older runes as well as the new ones for that summer, so there are opportunities to obtain things you may have missed.

Also, if you wanted to, you can transfer your toon to the Isle of Refuge server and BUY the ethereal coins from the broker, then transfer back. This requires that your toon be on IoR 30 days. Eventually, they usually make the ethereal coins Heirloom, so then you could just create a toon on IoR, get them money via Krono (which are account-wide), then have that toon buy the coins and transfer to your regular server, saving you the cost of one transfer.

What? I didn't know you could transfer back from IoR? Cool! :D

    Yep!
  18. Mermut Well-Known Member

The toon has to sit on IoR for 30 days before it can transfer to live.
I'm sure the transfer of toons onto and off of IoR is a nice money stream for DBG.

Probably, $5 to transfer a toon to IoR, keep sub active $15, $25 to transfer toon off IoR, so $45 plus tax if any is applicable for every toon that is created on another server and sent there to buy the tokens, all amounts in US Dollars of course.
  20. Pixistik Don't like it? You're not alone!

Moorguard and Blackguard were my fav's
That was back when they actually interacted with the players and Discord wasnt around.
