Socket Error, Cant Install/Update Files

Hey, i've seen this error in past posts, but it never affected me until today...shows that the servers are up, is a)anyone else having this issue and b)are the servers actually up and this is just an error because the servers are down. Thanks!

I am having the same issue.

Servers are up and loaded with people.

I am also getting a "Socket Error:Host not Found."

Good for those already in but I have a socket error & cannot download or access the game at all.

Just used everquest.exe to login. So guess the servers are up! Launcher issue perhaps?

Got to 45% installed at one point, now nothing but Socket error. Voodoo technology doesn't work with Launchers DB, plz fix.

The trick doesn't work because the game hasn't been patched yet. Doesn't work for me.

This is completely frustrating I too am getting the socket error. It is not patching like it should be. Otherwise I would use the trick.

I am getting the same socket error on all three accounts. Even going in the back door through EQ2 exe. files

See if you can get in now. Close everything and relaunch please. If you still get the error let us know here please!

I'm still getting the socket error message. When I tried everquest.exe it told me my client doesn't match the server and to re run the patcher, which doesn't work. Any other ideas on how to fix this?

I guess 7th time trying is a charm... lol Worked that time.
