So a short intro. Played eq2 at launch through EoF mostly on a guardian/berserker. Loved the game and then had real world take over. Seeing as the fallen gate server is just starting EoF, how quickly could i potentially catch up leveling and gearing wise to potentially be ready for RoK at the worst or seeing some of the EoF raids prior to RoK? How is the population on FG? Not expecting phinny levels, but at least a healthy population to group and have various raid options? Thanks!

The population is pretty healthy, and there are still plenty of people doing lower level content - although sometimes you have to be willing to form the group yourself, rather than waiting to find one that's already going. Right now catching up isn't especially hard. Try and stick to EoF zones when you can, they seem to be providing the best experience (both grouping and solo questing). Talk to some of the guilds out there, see if you can find one that's active and matches what you're looking for, some guilds are happy to help people level a bit.

This is the perfect time to join because EoF currently have experience bonus, and a pretty big one at that. EoF covers basically every tier so it feels really nice and smooth. When u create a character and finished the Isle go straight to greater faydark, quest around and kill easy linked mobs for great xp up until lvl 20. Then ur ready to either form grps or join grps for Crushbone keep, grind out ten lvls (wich is quick enough for u to not grow tired of the zone) then move on to butcherblock for quests and Kaladim for dungeon crawling. At lvl 40 you will move on to steamfont for quests to upgrade ur gear. There is a small gap here in between dungeons. A few lvls from quests or a few lvls as mentored grinding out crushbone or Kaladim will get you ready for klak anon. Mines of meldarath is a decent instance in stramfont as well in the low 50s range. Once u are mid fifty u have loads of options.
