so I'm about to complete it on my 60 BL, of course I looked it up on wiki and saw the rewards and thought, great! just before the game went down though, it only offered 2 rewards http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Shortbow_of_Bayle -not for scouts http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Royal_Crate_of_Sharpened_Spikes - I use a bow not the other bow listed that scouts can use http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Longbow_of_Bayle is there a reason for this?
According to the way the quest is set up, if you're playing a scout class, you should be offered the Longbow of Kain (or Bayle), which is scout usable already. If you have more info on what exactly is occurring for you, please let me know and I'll attempt to resolve it. In the meantime, I've modified the two shortbow rewards to allow scouts to wield them in addition to fighter classes.
cloaks still aren't being give to at the least BL's for completely the quest in qyenos, but they are being given in Freeport...
channeler is a hybrid scout/priest who uses a bow. so should be able to use any bow scouts and fighters can. infact like rangers some of their combat arts and spells need a bow to use them.
