I think the Hp on the mobs are way too high for the rewards. A T2 zone that gives 9 resolve loot from mobs that take an excessively long time to kill vs other T2 heroics is not enticing. I only do it when it's part of the daily, without it I can almost never convince friends to go into that zone.

The only time a pet can even be considered as a target for that curse is when the pet is directly the target of the boss. We have no plans to change that. I have gone over the encounter just to be sure and made sure none of the checks include pets. Only when its his target.

So, we can't cure pets, so if they grab aggro it's a wipe. Okaay. May I ask for the reasoning for this being as intended?

You should not be using pets to tank encounters like this. By removing the ability for pets to get the curse at all will encourage some to try tanking it with a pet to bypass the mechanic.

I think Gninja just told your tank to learn to hold aggro..or your pet class to learn how to control their threat :)

summoners have a whole AA line for pet aggro management. Is it that bad or is it simply... ignored in favor of that little extra parse from other AA?

I'll repeat, we weren't using a pet to tank. But OK, I understand the reasoning behind this now so we'll just make sure everyone kills pets before this encounter. It was a coercers charmed pet btw, so no aggro management tools available :)

He did, and it's a shame he hadn't read my OP properly :p

Really? I always thought that coercer have best in game agro management tool set ... peaceful link perhaps could reduce risk?

    That would be awesome, except...

The fix for that would be to kill it before the pet dies.

The Solo verson is not fixed..... I have a Shadow knight and Perrin Wonderhoof is my Elete Merc. We went in killed everything in the zone no problem. With one exception which wiped us 5 times now trying all kinds of tactics with my Merc. I have 7 resolve gear and a 20 resolve cloak my Merc is max trained and has 7 resolve gear and adornments. Now maybe I am just a lousy player I figure I am about average. I can get him down to 50% he kills my merc and then me or just one shots me out of the box and then goes after my merc. I can even kite him to about 50% and then he kills me.

So I looked up what he drops in the Solo version. Out of the 56 Master Spell Scrolls found as drops so far the odds of getting one for a Shadow Knight are maybe 56 to 4 on a really good day on a random roll where you could get the same things about 10 times or so I would up the odds to about 560+ to 1 on a bad day. By the time I am able to solo this dude and get anything of value to me from him I will already have upgraded all my spells to master and be in 9 resolve gear. He only drops 7 resolve gear which I already have. So he is not worth wasting my time on let alone dying for. Honestly do you guys ever calculate this stuff out from the players point of view? I don't mind getting beat once in a while I am always up for a challenge but when there is nothing worth fighting for why fight. I am going back to decorating. Love and Light everyone.
