    Good catch Uwkete!

It is Loosely based upon EQ lore from just after the Elven Hejira into the Hills of Shade. That is where the seeds for the Crusade of Tears are first sown. You will find both Fendel and Amber there, as well as these tomes, (if you know where to look)

    Book of the Hills:

    KODEKS DE AN-RE-SKI-DE BEN-TAS.
SOL LEM AD OM-DE VEST-TAS TRAK BEN-TAS CAN-LE LEG KODEKS.
    KODEKS DE COL:

The crypt of kings is waiting still
    Hidden there 'neath shrouded hill
    Elven lore of shadowed lord
    Lost for ages and ignored
A raven's cry both high and shrill
    Noble tomb hides noble sword.

Came the parents blessed by Love
    Endeared to goddess from above
    Respected son takes elven bride
Secret birth they could not hide
    Savage strife sees mourning dove
While gift of Love was cast aside.

On funeral pyre the daughter lay
Revenge descends on all who stay
Death and ruin on Hills of Shade
Now pay the price of Love betrayed
    Eternal curse decreed that day
    And restless dead forever stayed

    Riding ships across the wave
Honor sends his knights to save
Into hills that Love has cursed
    Living dead to be dispersed
Lost Crusade of Tears for brave
So that the curse might be reversed

O'er the hills the ravens fly
    Forever heard their mournful cry
    Dreadful fate for dreadful deed
Errant knights the cause did heed
Among the hills the dead reply
Decay and death their only creed

    Book of Valor:

    KODEKS DE AN-RE-SKI-DE BEN-TAS.
SOL LEM AD OM-DE VEST-TAS TRAK BEN-TAS CAN-LE LEG KODEKS.
    KODEKS DE VAL:

Sound the call throughout the land,
Enlist the Rose in your command.
    Endure the mist for forty days;
Keep the flame of hope ablaze.
Truth and Love must guide thy hand.
    Horror hides in distant haze.

Eastward o’er a Sea of Tears,
    Forge anew the shattered spears.
Into the hills on silent wing,
Sickly fog the winds will bring.
    Taking flight as darkness nears,
Soon to feel it’s deadly sting.

    Order dark and order light,
Finally meet in test of might.
Marching through a field of gore,
And to the keep of Hatred’s *****.
Release the hills from poisoned blight.
Return the lands to peace from war.

    Broken by a tyrant's will,
    Edicts signed by traitor's quill.
Left alone while all gave chase,
One stayed behind in secret place.
When all around was quiet and still
Left the town without a trace.

    Amidst decay and filth below,
None to show the way to go.
    Deep beneath the city's heart,
Inscribed in code he made the chart,
    Near where waters greenly glow,
Gives the map of where to start.

    PS:
Apparently the obscenity filter will not allow certain words, but I'm sure you can figure it out from the rhyme pattern

    Yep... ;->

Silly filters. Wish it was something we could control here, like in-game or in DeviantArt. :-/

Awesome poetry, though! Did you write that, or is it official? :)

nothing like treetop drunken dwarf races in kelethin
  11. Uwkete-of-Crushbone Well-Known Member

Meh, still don't care too much for Kelethin to this day, but I will say, it's one reason why I get ALL my toons, as much as possible, some sort of "parachute" (mount or cloak) as fast as possible. ;->

When I was playing EQ, I realized belatedly that Kelethin, SoW, and lag aren't a good combination.
  13. Uwkete-of-Crushbone Well-Known Member

Heh! Given the stories I've heard about it, yeah, I can see that. ;->

Not much fun in EQ2 with that combo, either, come to think...if the fall don't kill your lowbees, the orcs below will. ;->

I just came for a visit and absolutely loved everything about this place! Your merchant tents and crafting buildings at the entrance port were perfect. I also enjoyed wandering the grounds and running into areas such as Camp Valor. The actors really add a lot to this space as well. Also, the bridge structure between the tree houses was really amazing! Awesome work :)
