I just created a high elf conjuror in Kelethin and plan to betray to Freeport as a necromancer. What is the best level for doing the betrayal quest? It has probably been 5 years since I betrayed a character. Has much changed since then? Will I still be able to roam around in Kelethin as long as I avoid the royal hall?
you can't betray before 10 but i would wait until at least 25 because some of the betrayal quests mobs can be hard
Personally I betray at 19 just so I can get the 'Knight of the Exiled' title and never have any trouble doing the quests. Kelethin is safe anyway like you said as long as you are cautious around the royal halls (halas and gorowyn are also safe).
