I am on a quest in EQ2. The quest mob is one of the hardest I have ever come up against. The quest is "Chase of the Wild Goose", and it involves hunting down and searching for all seven pieces of a particular appearance, and so far, I am 6 of 7. The pieces I have found so far are: Vanguard Breastplate of Dominance - http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Vanguard_Breastplate_of_Dominance Vanguard Bracers of Dominance - http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Vanguard_Bracers_of_Dominance Barbute of the Draconic Defender - http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Skyshrine_Tradeskill_Apprentices Gauntlets of the Draconic Battlepriest - http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Skyshrine_Tradeskill_Apprentices Dragonscale Plate Pauldrons - http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Skyshrine_Tradeskill_Apprentices Boots of the Draconic Miscreant - http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Skyshrine_Tradeskill_Apprentices The pieces have the same animations as the (Orange)Fire/(Green)Nature/(Blue)Mana gear from Edolon Jungle, Obal Plains, and Steward Gear respectively from the CoE expansion, but Red w/ Black highlights. All but the boots are plate, and I am trying to find the plate leggings that would match this appearance (if there are plate boots also, then any info on those? If not, I will have to be happy with the chain). Do they exist, and if so, where would I find them? Any information would be helpful in hopefully completing this complete look. I have wondered why there are no leg armor recipes with the apprentices since they were first introduced.
I have searched this set since it was added, thus far no dice. The only "close" match is: \aITEM 1170722137 1535240166:Marauder's Bloodbound Greaves\/a This is the T4 Sentinels Fate Raid Greaves though.
Found something! When going through one of my character's vaults, I found the Leggings of the Red Shadow. Scout chain with a look very close to the chest pieces from the tradeschool apprentice recipes. They are heirloom and dropped from this mob: http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Thagnok_the_Martyr He seems to only drop leg armor. Wiki has a page on the plate leggings: http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Chausses_of_the_Last_Rite Level 92 unfortunately, so lower levels are out of luck on matching legs for quite a while. Closest thing I have been able to find, I realize you might have already found these, but posting this info should still be a help for others trying to find a close match.
It doesn't look like the plate legs appearance for that set is currently in game. I'll lay odds that it will be soon however...
We seem to have a few armor sets which miss one piece in game. I have high hopes that those sets will be completed soon (TM). People here luv our appearance gear.

The response is quite appreciated Caith. This is an ancient question but any chance that the Quested Gear from Enchanted Lands can have the Plate Set completed? Valeguard I think is what it's called. It has a Helm, Breastplate and Gloves but I believe no Greaves or Shoulders. - Estred, holder of the Player given achievement "Appearance Monger of Nektulos" *Players used a more offensive term associated with the 3rd Reich that is not politically correct and is censored automatically on the Official Forums.
All of the pieces for that appearance set are already available in game. A quick search didn't come up with any armor with the name Valeguard, you would need to be more specific.
I will dig around and get back to you, would you like a PM? I have been having issues with EQ2 due to a shakey router/modem connection so I'm staying offline mostly till I get a tech out here to look at it to help me discern my problems.
