is each gear slot set to a specific zone? ie.. if I need gloves do I have to run Pickclaw and not any others?
Yes. ...and on a side note, I just noticed that Highkeep is missing scout shoulders. Only possible rewards for scouts are jewelery. Bugged it in game.
Yes, if you look at the ornate crate you get from the various solos you'll see the potential rewards. Likewise inspecting the quest rewards from the heroics will show you the piece you obtain from completing those. For the drops in the zone you'll have to see, but they all seem pretty consistent to me so far, so once you know what you are looking for you're good to farm for it.
