    I wanted to come back and play. About a year ago I tried to come back and play, but I had to either sub or pay to unlock my gear, so I could wear it. I quit... again. Do i still need to sub or pay to unlock gear? Thanks.

    yes, if you dont have a sub you need to buy unlockers for gear legendary and above.

    A sub is more convenient. Unlocking can be cheaper. If you're that hard up for cash, maybe something else can be let go for the sake of a little entertainment?

    Oh okay. Thanks for the info.

    Well, I played eq2 from 2004 to 2012 and the games state when I left wasn't worth subbing for anymore, IMO. I certainly don't feel like paying for an even more dumbed / watered down eq2. The only thing that peeks my interest atm, is I hear they brought avatars back. Has that been dumbed down aswell? Or did they do it proper?

    They added a practice arena for guilds to try out the different fights.
