Ambient Occlusion Not Working Properly

    Hi,

There seems to be an issue with Ambient Occlusion that prevents it from working properly.

If you enable it in the options nothing happens until you mouse over either a mob or harvest node then it becomes active, as soon as you put the mouse pointer on a normal bit of "non interactive" scenery it turns off. So it's impossible to use it under these circumstances as the screen flickers in effect when you mouse over things.

Not Working - mouse pointer over normal scenery.

I have the latest 310.61 Nvidia drivers on my 680GTX.

I realize this thread is years old - but has anyone ever found a fix for this?

This problem still persists. I wonder has anyone found a workaround?

This may be a bit late, but I just wanted to ask you guys to upvote this post in order to get some attention on the subject: https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq...ws-on-64b-can-it-be-done.604142/#post-6687368

I have been testing these things on the new 64-bit client, which is going to be released later this year, and the shadow issues are the same as in the 32-bit client. Would be nice if we could get that fixed, among water and flora issues, now that we're going to have more memory available for stuff like this.
