so ttobey anything you can share about the specific part of the kraken mount you have been working on lately? is it the jiggly tentacles or the blinking eyes or maybe the gaping maw?
We are working on EQ1 for a couple of months right now but these monsters will eventually wind up in EQ2 too. tutu?
For what I do, there's not much difference between EQ1 EQ2 or even Unreal. EQ1 has a 4 skin weight influences per joint and EQ2 has only 2 so I usually go with 2 and will tweak it better for EQ1. EQ2 has a better joint count. I usually try to keep it all so it's easy to transfer a character from one engine to the other since most monsters we do nowadays will be used in both games eventually.
but it is a fitting start of the next chapter tomothy tobey's self biography, chapter 319: back to the kraken "i dont think they believed me when i said that i wasnt working on the kraken mount, but i had to keep up the front. no leaks! after a stint working on everquest 1 i was now back to everquest 2 and was dreading tackling the krakens many tentacles, but i knew i had to deliver. the new mount was going to come out with the march expansion and it had to look great. the tentacles had to pulse and twitch just so and it was exquisite work, painstaking work. i sat down at my workstation and looked in the mirror for inspiration"
Hey, look who's back. Nah, but I noticed the "Spontaneous Combustion" fire elemental illusion from the Legends of Norrath stuff still doesn't work with mounts, even though it's just a fiery reskin of the human male model, and wears player armor. Mount off: Mount on:
well you should need a head to operate a flying mount. i think the norrathian air administration wont approve headless pilots
