Gobekli Tepe is a very interesting site. Many similar circular sites all crowded together and with very detailed artwork. It is very old and they are still trying to figure out how old.

Al-Maghtas, meaning "baptism" or "immersion" in Arabic, is an archaeological World Heritage site in Jordan on the east bank of the Jordan River, officially known as Baptism Site "Bethany Beyond the Jordan". It is considered to be the original location of the Baptism of Jesus and the ministry of John the Baptist and has been venerated as such since at least the Byzantine period. Following a suggestion by Origen, the baptism site of Jesus is sometimes also called Bethabara. Al-Maghtas includes two principal archaeological areas. The remnants of a monastery on a mound known as Jabal Mar-Elias and an area close to the river with remains of churches, baptism ponds and pilgrim and hermit dwellings. The two areas are connected by a stream called Wadi Kharrar. The strategic location between Jerusalem and the King's Highway is already evident from the Book of Joshua report about the Israelites crossing the Jordan there. Jabal Mar-Elias is traditionally identified as the site of the ascension of the prophet Elijah to

The Arch of Hadrian is an ancient Roman structure in Jerash, Jordan. It is an 11-metre high triple-arched gateway erected to honor the visit of Roman Emperor Hadrian to the city in the winter of 129–130. The arch originally stood to almost 22 m and probably had wooden doors. It features some unconventional, possibly Nabataean, architectural features, such as acanthus bases. The columns are decorated with

some of those places in Jordan were so amazing I could have posted 100 pictures , like the Wadi Rum , or the Dead sea
I picked out the best Jordan has to offer ( I tried )
I am happy I found the video and the Nova Documentary , because Petra is another one of those places you could spend days exploring .
Pictures and text can only do so much .
I always try to find a link that gives some stories or explanations ( because I am kind of lazy )
We still have some amazing stuff coming for Turkey , but I am happy I went ahead and went trough all of Jordan with you guys
but no I will not go through Israel too , at least not now , just because we are next door .
