While wishing, might as well wish on a Star : )

    1. Make recipe books, usually available only with the purchase of an expansion, available on the marketplace.
    2. Make a marketplace service that allows guilds to be moved to another server, similar to characters moving.
    3. Do away with house, or guild hall only items - Hey if it places let us place it anywhere it is needed.

    Thanks so very much,
    Stellacious

Absolutely yes to all of the above, though I think us crafters and decorator types would probably only get the CE with such incentives as houses and recipes...on the other hand, the Basic Edition is, what, something like $35 ($34.99, but c'mon...and really has nothing to offer except access to the new zone)? And the Collector's Edition is, what, $90 ($89.99)? So, that's a difference of $55, total, between the prices...so, make the prestige house something like $25, the recipe book (and yes, devs, the products can still be No-Trade, Commissioned...) something like $25, so for another $5 more difference, you could get all the rest of the stuff when you buy the CE, like a mount and leveling Tokens and all the other rubbish that I, for one, don't really care about (though I do like the mount and the Tokens ;->). Make such a thing in addition to what's available in the CE, but make them Lore No-Trade or whatever so folks won't double up left and right (on the other hand, more money in the DBG coffers that way...hmm), if that's what you're worried about, o devs.

I guarantee that the poorest of us out there would feel better about springing for the Basic at the onset, and catch up to the other stuff we want when we can, like later on that same year or a few months later into the next one. Even I would, and I always save my CE expac purchases until they go on half-off sale in September since they started that (time also helps smooth away many a bug). And here's the thing: if they did away with that half-off sale and didn't replace it with something similar to these ideas of ours, I don't know about getting the expacs any more at all. :-/

A little follow-up on my last post about wishing for invisible tiles, here is an instance where I'd need them :

You can see there the view up from what's going to be a narrow town road. Everything is supposed to be closed off to keep up the illusion. The only issue is you can fly out and I need to block that off. I'm going to use misty tiles for now but invisible tiles would be perfect for this kind of situation.

This issue has not been mentioned in the forums for 3-4 months and are some items which have been requested for many years. Numerous players, not only decorators, would like the following items added to the game:

    1. Furniture Depot
    2. Expanded House Vault Slots
    3. Ability to move (to moving crate) or place stacks of items vs. having to place individually
    4. Increased item counts on guild halls and houses, especially the new massivly large homes
    5. Removal of No-Trade and No-Transmute flags from items
    6. Allowing all placeable items to be placed in guild halls
    7. New recipes for Tailors and Carpenters for larger backpacks and strong boxes

    Thank you.

    * Edit - Apparently I was wrong about these not being mentioned in 3-4 months. However, I will not remove my post due to continued need of these items.*

It might not've been mentioned on this forum for 3-4 months, so I think you're okay there. :)

Hmm...well, you mean like the travel portals that aren't World Bells but can fit in houses; those myriad things? I always thought it would be logical to have them not shrink down so small that even a small-sized Gnome or Halfling (whichever is smaller) wouldn't be able to fit "inside" one; those White and Black Pawns can get so small, you can use them as sink faucet handles, etc. (which I should do more of when decorating; the Casino Billiard Ball sets, while lovely [and cheap! :D], only have so many variations on "Hot" [red/warm colors] and "Cold" [blue/cool colors]) ;->

And not all the Wishlist things have to be holiday related... :)

who admits is thinking "TARDIS-sized" for traveling objects (when the Chameleon Circuit works, a TARDIS can look like anything big enough for a reasonably-sized humanoid to fit into, not just a Police Box)... ;->

    Guild Heraldry for Shields

It would be great if like guild hall banners and cloaks, we could purchase / craft shield blanks of various types (tower, blocker, heater, round, etc.) that could be set to display our guild heraldry. Shields for both character use and display in our homes w/o needing to place a mannequin and try to bury it in a wall. ;)

Convertible Shields for Character Use or Home Display

I love using shields for display on walls, above fireplace mantles, in trophy rooms, etc. The game has some really great looking shields that usually end up as vendor fodder since there's not enough room to keep all of the ones I like the look of and want to display.

I'd love to see shields (and perhaps weapons too) set up like mounts and L&L trophies that could be converted to house items so we can display without burying a mannequin (see previous post!). :D

oh yeah! that would be great, wonderful idea
  13. Uwkete-of-Crushbone Well-Known Member

    Absolutely it would! :D

They can already do that with so many items (mounts, the Ale-Stained Cloak of the Gathering [which, sadly, no longer has a link to the SOE Fan Faires pics :-/], the whirliblade Appearance weapon thing from Tinkerfest, etc.), you'd think it wouldn't be that much of a hardship to do that with an Appearance-Only shield (of all the various types, natch).

Why, at the risk of triggering their making money allergies, I'd even suggest to the devs that they could make the shield types as Marketplace items; that'd cut down on the need to make all shields be able to do that (even if they're just Appearance ones, which is still a cool idea), but at least some of them could, and it would also be an awesome guild display. :)

who's thinking: for Mages, rather than a shield, per se (obvs), why not a Madu? It's basically a 1Hd. staff with a relatively big round plate in the middle, just covering the hand and the hand-grip in the middle (but still big enough to have guild heraldry on it ;->). Take it from an old Society for Creative Anachronism fighter: those things are so FRUSTRATING to try to get around! It's an excellent blocking thing, and doesn't obstruct the wielder's view. In a fantasy game, a center spike could even be added to it, and Mages are allowed to wield staves and daggers... ;-> --U.

    We'll see if this works:

Pleeeease give us a small house that looks like the room in Qeynos Catacombs with the starry dome ( does not look like the starry tiles). This room is GORGEOUS and the music there is so very beautiful (seriously, I tear up every time I go there).. I have always thought it would make a great player house. I realize now that my post about this in Marketplace suggestions did go thru ( was having computer issues at the time) However, Posted here as well.. hoping it is seen *fingers crossed* (p.s. - sorry for the repost in diff threads as I thought it did not post, and don't know how to delete posts. Please do so if this is in the wrong place.)

    The Decorating Assistant

A relatively easy fix to the problem of deco item storage?

Duplicate the broker system with more bag slots and no feature for commerce. Call it The Decorating Assistant. Make it available for members from any location as the broker is. Need more bag slots? Purchase additional slots like the wardrobe feature offers.

Decorators could store their goods, happily stacked to infinity! Retrieve them on the job and return them without having to run around to "Storage Facilities" (previously known as Prestige housing) : P. Thus avoiding those over stuffed bags, multiple houses, friends houses, dungeons, house vaults and bank slots all full of deco supplies!

    Thanks for your consideration,

    Housing Windows for non-prestige homes.

Please remove the number of slots and replace with the number of rooms available. Since we all now have 6 house vault slots, the info on the door for it is no longer important. However, when you're going to buy a home (non-prestige), knowing the number of rooms before you tour can save a lot of time. New Halas is a great example. I now know which houses only have 2 or 3 rooms because I toured ALL of them to figure it out. I just think that info would be far more helpful to prospective buyers than the number of vault slots. :)

And, o devs, relieve your poor, tired, overworked houses from all the placed items you lot keep going on about. ;->

Isn't it easier to store something, for you and us, in a Broker-like crate vs. a house situation? ;->

I thought the number of rooms was what was indicated on the door? We haven't had slots listed since they gave everyone 6 slots. If you look at the layout files in any method (JesDyr's, Sennen's [my fave! :D], Notepad [perhaps especially Notepad, since its no-frills-ness puts it right up top there], etc.), they'll have room info, but not slot info.

Unless, of course, that's why the devs can't actually put 4 ROOM (or 2 Room, or whatever the real number actually is now) on their house descriptions (not even "newer" ones, like New Halas), since they're actually basing it on slot amount... X-P Nah, whenever I try to go into an unnamed, default-named place, they're always saying stupid stuff, like 1 Room House or 5 Room or whatever... :-/

EDIT: Blow me down! They finally fixed that!! Just tried zoning into my li'l 2-room place in Freeport, and it initially told me I was zoning into "a two room apartment"! :D "Yes! [They] can be taught! :D" --Genie, Aladdin (animated)

I want Frostfell Wonderland Village as prestige house. The Snowy Dwelling is nice, but I want the bigger islands and the ICE!! I'd happily pay 2500-3000 DBC for it in a heartbeat!

You can do a work-around by putting the shield on a mannequin and then sinking the mannequin face-first into a wall.

I'd like a special mannequin that JUST is a wall mount for a shield, and another that is JUST a wall mount for a weapon.
