It needs to be human/darkelf based skeleton for any possible new player race. Gnolls and drovargs have animal based legs like ratonga have and it's too much work as it is to get ratonga and frog skeletons working on new things. The Sarnak use human skel as weird as that seems.
Awww, does this mean Burynai and/or Othmir are out as potential playable races? Maybe the Halfling skeleton would work for either/both of them? Just increase the size of the halfling skeleton for the Othmir, but don't make any changes other than that? I know of at least three people who would be thrilled to death if you would make these as playable races. Honestly, the Burynai are soooo cute, the way they plop down when they sit and the othmir illusions already have a ton of actual emote actions already to them, so I see no reason you couldn't just use the same skeletal structure to create them as a playable race. Hmm, there is the matter, however, of them always standing when riding a mount, hehe. Also, the goblins from High Keep would be an awesome playable race...if you include their hand-walking trick that they do in the illusion form when walking. They should work as a playable race, using the human or dark elf skeleton.
Hmm! From what I've seen of the "knees" of the Othmir and Burynai, yeah, I can see that happening. Not sure about those gobboes, though... :-/ Uwk
It is probably because of armor, weapons, and mounts. How would they be able to put shoes or boots on an Othmir or Burynai (although I would love to have both of these)? The same with the Gnolls and the Drolvargs because of the ankle placement between the leg and the foot, they would have to reskin the human or kerra with a dog skin. Helmets on the Othmir or Burynai would probably be a nightmare as well unless they are buckets or something like a fez.
Well, *I* for one, would offer anything needed to accomplish and to assist in bearing said burden and bringing said availability to pass,... --internship, technical expertise*, time, plat/paper/electrons, etc. *resume available upon request.
I kind of* like what they did with the Sarnak; made whatever "shoes/boots" or "helmets" on them be like the equivalent of sandals; and not so much jockey hats, but the actual "hats" that the race horses wear, that thing over their faces. ;-> And even Trolls have issues with helmets; both them and Ratonga tend to have holes in the helms for their ears to stick out, and most Ratonga helmets don't have the "nose piece" hanging down as much as a humanoid's would, if at all. Iirc, Kerra usually either have round-ear-topped helmets, or their ears are just ignored, like with Uwk's "Viking [actually Celtic] horned helmet" in his Appearance slot. ;-> Uwk (* = "kind of" because it's hard to see what a given helmet would look like on anyone else when your current alt is a Sarnak trying it on in the Dressing Room...)
I would love to be able to use the Frostfell shopping bag all of the year. Only during Frostfell would it be restricted.
It is accessible at other times. Unless you mean you want it to be able to hold other harvests, in which case that sort of defeats the purpose of it even existing. There are other harvesting bags available (generally from quests), and you can use those for regular harvests. The whole point of the Frostfell bag was that back in the day - before Guild Halls and harvest depots - it gave you a bag that you always knew exactly what it held, because that's ALL it could hold. There really isn't any point in changing it, because there are other things that can already do that. (Including regular backpacks; you can set a bag to only carry harvests, which would then sort automatically into that bag as you harvested them.)
You know what I want for Frostfell next year? I want our Emerald Gem of Whatever (I'll have to look it up; Uwk has some, still) back to make GREEN ITEMS with (and the recipes tweaked back to what they were), rather than using an Ebon, Cerulean, or the gods forbid, SCARLET gem to make such with. It's just one more material, and we have 56 slots in that bag. :-/ Uwk
I want to request a white gumdrop fluff pet. We have all the other colors - including black - but no white. (There's also no brown, but that's understandable, as it would look too much like... something else.) I would personally LOVE a white gumdrop fluff pet for a few of my characters who always dress all in white.
Not for harvest items, but its the biggest bag I have seen in EQ II. Larger bags for storage would be great. I am putting the Frostfell items into depots.
So do I; at least one Mistmoore house on each of my servers has the three Stations, a Fuel Depot, and the Harvest Depot for the Frostfell mats exclusively. Uwk
I'd like some evergreen garland swags WITHOUT bows. If I want bows at the intersections, I will add them individually Also, I think I mentioned previously that holly bushes and garlands would be nice.
Hmm; don't the bows disguise the attachment point for a Wall thing? I know the Ceiling placed whatevers don't need much more than just a hook (like with the Baubles, etc.), but I'm not sure about Wall items. On the other hand, if they didn't come with bows, we could definitely customize them with our own. ;-> Uwk
