    You can indeed get very inexpensive flights. And if you book into hotels/casinos just off the strip, the prices are vastly less expensive and most have free limos to the strip or they are less than 1/2 block walking distance. Your key, is doing your due diligence and booking your flight and accommodates as early as possible.

    Columbus, OH would be closer to me than any other suggested venues. I'm in Kentucky. I'd be interested if one was close enough to me to drive and not have to fly. Always interested in shirts/mugs/ect as well!

    I would like to suggest St. Louis MO. There is tons of stuff to do, a huge zoo that is free to enter, lots of history, the childrens museums, the gateway arch, motels are reasonable, riverboat casinos and it is super easy to navigate. It is more center of the country than any of the other selections.

    Okay, a caveat on my suggestion for Texas as a venue: If this is planned for late summer, we'd be better off in San Diego, due to weather. ;) If not slated for late summer, I still think Texas might be more doable for a larger crowd.

    I used to fly all the time on business, so for comparison I pulled up prices via Southwest for destination of LAS vs. SAN--since HOU is their hub--and flights to SAN (San Diego) would be cheaper for us than LAS (Las Vegas). Wow...who knew??

    hmm, would there be an option to tour DBG while there? ;)
