There’s a lot of excitement happening here at SOE. In addition to news and updates about our games, we want to make sure you have the chance to participate in some of the great promotions we have to offer!

This holiday season, one promotion is available through e-mails only. If you want to have the chance to participate, you need to make sure you’re “opted-in” (signed up to receive e-mails from Sony Online Entertainment)! In order to receive our holiday promotion e-mails, you must have this box checked on your account e-mail preferences by Wednesday, December 17, 2014.

To verify your e-mail address and check your opt-in status, just follow these easy steps:

2)On your Account Management page, select “E-Mail Preferences.”

3)Make sure your e-mail address is correct. Using a different one? Click “Change E-mail” to update.

4)Make sure the box is checked under “Opt-In & Be In The Know. Not seeing this option? Make sure you're logged in through https://www.soe.com and not a specific game site.

5)Check the boxes next to any and all games you’re interested in receiving more information about*. Not seeing all the games listed? Make sure you're logged in through https://www.soe.com and not a specific game site. Also, see the note at the end of this post regarding H1Z1.

6)Click Submit and your preferences will be saved

Remember, you’ve only got until Wednesday, December 17, 2014 to make sure your e-mail preferences are up to date in time to receive our upcoming holiday promotion e-mails. Head to your Account Management page and sign up now!

*If you’re interested in H1Z1, you’ll need to visit www.h1z1.com and sign up for the e-mail newsletter direct on that site. Note that signing up for the H1Z1 newsletter does not mean you’re opted-in for all e-mail updates and special offers from SOE!

Ok I checked mine but saw no "opt in and be in the know" and no choices of games as I play a couple of them. But it is checked for eq2 which was the only choice there.
  3. Caela Well-Known Member

Good thing I checked. I do get emails from SOE about EQ2 - all the time. So I thought I was surely opted in. But just went and checked, and the "opt in and be in the know" box was unchecked. But for the list of games, EQ2 was checked.

So I guess I'm set now just in case.

Mine is like Moonpanther's. No option for an "opt in" and only a check for eq2

OK, that site and "join newsletter" that takes you to the opt in, etc. Awesome

Ok, got it Thanks, they need to include that in their announcement, I'm sure lots of folks are having this issue. All fixed now. :D The link in their announcement did not take me to that page.
  8. Alenna Well-Known Member

they had better edit that link then

Ok, I opted in on all 4 accounts. I figured there was no point in taking chances that the offers would only be good for accounts that had opted in rather than for the account holder.

The link provided is not really correct as it takes you to a specific game. Mine took me through Landmark and only offered that game. Going to http://www.soe.com/ is the solution.

THIS was the only way it worked. Thanks so much for posting that link.
This really should be in the original announcement.

If anyone is wondering why the sudden interest in us all opt-ing in, Brasse tweeted this:

We also said that above in the article:

    ;)

I'll edit the announcement to include this. I'm not sure why it's not directing there to begin with, as that's the initial URLs I linked; it may have to do with where you're logging in from (or if you're already logged in from another game site). In any case, I'll get an update added to the original post! :)

Oddly enough, I used the link in the OP, and it took me exactly where the post said it should - listing all the games.

I wonder what makes the difference.

Same as Caela, I've always received SOE emails and such for EQ2 & Landmark, so thought I had opted in. Fixed now.
I'll have to make sure hubby & friends get this changed, as well.

I thought the same way. I already recieved the emails; so I was very surprised to see that option was not marked.
