    No not maintenance, but expac launches work in the way that I described. Servers still go down for maintenance, they just dont go down for midnight launches of expansions, and havent since at least Cataclysm afaik (granted I wasnt there for mists)

    if you sit on character select and it shows locked and scroll through characters ( I know!) it will flip to unlocked when they open it ;)

    well, it looks like I get to play after kendo tonight....

    does anyone know if we have to log in to get the "rested" xp bonus to start up? (I keep forgetting what it's call in EQ)

    I am hoping it will start at purchase, or at least at server up, but I suspect it's when you first log in....o_O
