Beast'r Eggstravaganza is now active on Test!

May the flora and fauna across this wondrous world rejoice, for the season of Growth has begun! We are no longer held within the season of Decay's oppressive grip. The Mother of All has melted the cold with her embrace and shaken the stagnation from our roots and limbs. Praise Tunare in deed and word! Thank the goddess, as is her due, that we may never know the day she withholds her blessings of renewal and invigoration.

Even if you do not consider yourself a child of Tunare, you are welcome to dance with us at our celebration locations found around the major cities, grab a few of the new items the Eggschangers have, collect new stained glass egg shells and search out returning beast'r eggs, excitedly bouncing about. Those who collect all of them are bestowed a special title!

I am running Windows 10 and have Direct X 12.

Bristlebane Day is active on Test!

Jesters, thieves, bards, or simply fans of mischief and frivolity, are all encouraged to visit Enchanted Lands during these holy days honoring Fizzlethorpe Bristlebane! But that’s certainly not the only place where laughs and japes await you. I know for a fact, Splendor Sky Aerie has had an influx of patchcraft creatures and there’s been some sightings of a large mysterious book in multiple lands, including the Commonlands and Antonica! Of course, you can get even more involved by crafting your very own items in celebration of this perfectly serious holiday. Visit your local tradeskill house to purchase these special recipes!

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for special shenanigans, especially in Enchanted Lands, occurring only on the highest of silly days, April 1st!

All buffs drop on zoning

There is a little annoying bug that happens every so often on Test (has never happened to me on Live)

When i zone or evac all my self buffs, mount, familiar , stat pet buff (Takish'His Peafowl) , Mystic Moppet Billy Disguise etc all drop

Doesnt happen all the time but it's annoying when it does happen - not sure if someone can take a look at that.

Just happened on my alt - Sawdustin between 930-940 EST zoning from Thundering Steppes to Antonica (if you can see anything in logs)

Brewday Festival is now active on Test!

I know, Erollisi Day is still going on Test, and so is Chronoportals, and then there's the Direct X11 stuff... but due to how deadlines fall, I wasn't comfortable putting off making it available on Test any longer.

So, without further ado....

Make this Brewday Festival a memorable one! Follow the commotion of rowdy revelers located near every player city, and they’ll lead you to the festival's official brew house, The Bar of Brell. Once inside you’ll find plenty of holiday themed rewards, crafts, and adventures, both new and familiar.

Of course, the festivities aren’t just limited to The Bar of Brell, as there are spirited celebrations and opportunities to raise a stein to Brell across Norrath, including Antonica, Kaladim, Loping Plains, Butcherblock Mountains, Enchanted Lands, and Thundering Steppes! You’ll want to pay attention to what you’re finding while you harvest holiday gardens, too. You might be blessed with a special item used to honor the Duke of Below.

And for those who plan on celebrating by patronizing as many of Norrath’s drinking holes as one can, this Brewday, keep an eye out for different drinks and bar bites to collect along the way.

Chronoportal Phenomenon is now active on Test!

For years we have been witness to mysterious portals across the Shattered Lands, allowing travel back in time, to the Age of Turmoil. This recurring phenomenon led us to recognize this as the annual phase in which the barrier to the stream of the past is the thinnest, providing us a stable entry point into the Chronoweave. We would be remiss to not take advantage of the opportunity to study these portals and experiment with the powerful magic behind them.

Find my fellow chronomancers, whether in Myrist, the Coliseum of Valor, Antonica, The Commonlands, Enchanted Lands, Thundering Steppes, Steamfont Mountains, Lavastorm, Sinking Sands, Feerrott, or Moors of Ykesha. They are holding the portals to the Chronoweave open.

Step into the time between times, where you’ll find access to famed locations during the Age of Turmoil! Come and help investigate this wondrous magic. Whatever Talismans from the Age of Turmoil you may find along the way are yours to keep.

The MOTD on Test said it would be put in Saturday March 2nd. Today is Sunday, March 3rd, and the herald is not there in Nektulous Forest.

Getting missing DX11.1 on my windows 7 SP1

Got this from the MS support
"There is no stand-alone update package for DirectX 11.1. You can only install this DirectX version through Windows Update in Windows 8, Windows RT and Windows Server 2012."

I tried this

I tried updating to a 2022 driver (still got the missing DX11.1 pop up)

I'm not concerned for myself - i have a new rig incoming but its more for other Win7 users getting DX 11.1 missing error pop ups

Also should we really be saying its okay on Win7 as a minimum system requirement - all my senses/and research are saying this is not right.

A guildie who is 127 adventure and 46 overseer says Arabella does not offer him the Heritage Hunt overseer quest. Is it available on Test? I got mine on a live server, so I have no way to check if it is offered on Test.

The Ballads of Zimara researchers will be broken again for a little while on Test while DirectX11 settles into place for a bit. I have no further details or ETA at this time.

Images of houses on leaderboards very blue

Not sure if it's just me, but when I browse thru published houses on leaderboards, on Test server, all the images of homes seems very oversaturated with blue color. This is very visible on pictures from Halas homes where normally brown woodsy walls appear very gray/blue in those images, Cloudrat's dojo shows her standing on that rug from Desert of flames which is red normally, in image from dojo it shows blue, almost purple

Anyone seeing the same?

Earning of romantic titles
- Harvest Erollisi roses in The Enchanted Lands and give those roses to other players. Give enough roses and you will be granted a title!
- "My Romantic Reputation" quest is offered to anyone that gathers an Erollisi Rose (if they don't yet have the quest).
Love Loot -During this holiday players have a chance of finding Love notes or message candies when they kill mobs all across Norrath. This love loot is used in holiday tradeskill recipes and can be exchanged for Erollisi coin by Liannya Heartswell.
Erollisi Coin -The holiday currency that several Erollisi Merchants require for purchase.
Exchange merchant, Heartgar MacInnes, will take all of your different Love Loot (Message Candies and Love Notes) and change it out for one single type. She can be found in Freeport and Qeynos Province District.
Players in Gorowyn that wish to participate can speak with an NPC to be ported to The Commonlands. They can be ported back, too.
Players in Kelethin or New Halas that wish to participate can speak with an NPC to be ported to Antonica. They can be ported back, too.
Tradeskillers can still purchase previous holiday themed recipe books from Steven, the merchant in Qeynos Province District and Freeport.
Douglas and Steven, the holiday merchants in Qeynos Province District and Freeport, have holiday themed items for sale.

Hallllppp! Furniture Explosion!

We now have totally filled two player dungeons with furniture to give away. (That's 2000 normal items each, plus a ton of building blocks) I just opened a THIRD dungeon to drop another 75 items in, and it will start filling quickly with the rest of the summer events coming up (Tinkerfest, Scorched Sky), plus more Oceansfull items as folks scrounge for the ones that they want from the shells.

Please, please, PLEASE! If you're on Test and you need furniture, browse in the 3 dungeons before you craft for your homes or guildhalls. If you don't have access, anyone who already has access can set you up, or you can leave a message here with your character name and either myself or Kasa will get you set up with access to all three dungeons.

Really, it IS free furniture, and we want it to go to folks that want it. Otherwise, a lot of furniture is going to get deleted eventually ... and that will give poor Lera conniptions!

New Darkpaw Mount Researcher up on Test

Cannot see it mentioned in patch notes on test - a new researcher has been added to the research area in Splendor Sky Aerie on the test server:

Name: Researcher Goeque - Darkpaw Mount Researcher (right in front of existing mount researcher)

Subject: a new mount Bastian Fleetfoot (10 day research period). No obvious predicates, currently can be researched on test. Requires 120 level to use, 125 with no current expansion experience or progression can research.

Bastian Fleetfoot is (currently) better than the top mount available from merchants in the current expansion. 399K Pot, 14.4K CBOC ( a big increase). I assume in some way that as a Darkpaw Merchant it relates to this years celebrations. A great addition.

I have not been allowed to access Discord for at least 2 years, so I am not sure if this has been discussed there. I am just reporting this way as I do not see this as a bug or exploit. However, I will guess that some pre-requisites will possibly be added to the research before it is available on live.
