Zoned and now I can't log back in to the game

I was zoning from Lesser to Greater Fay. My client froze and now I can't log that character back in. I can log any other character back in without issues but the character that froze will not log back in. I have tried everything to get that character to log back out or to time out. When I get to the character selection screen the return to Home City button is grey out. If I try to log that character that froze back on he just times out and it boots me to a login screen. Anyone else had this happen to them and do you have a solution?

Yes, others have had this happen. You more than likely have a corrupted character file or Ui file for that character or a corrupted zone file for that zone.

So in order of how easy to fix:

Return home takes a bit to reset. Like 15 minutes or so.

Delete the zone file. Find it in your eq directory and just delete it. It will reload when you log in next time.

Delete the character UI. WARNING you want to save a copy of his current UI to desktop in case this does not work so you can reload that. By deleting the character UI you will lose a lot of set up stuff and that is why you make the copy

Reinstalling the entire game seldom works.

Okay I tried all of the above. Return to Home NEVER becomes active waited over an hour. I have had multiple guild members attempt to login with that character just to validate that the issue wasn't local. They all had the same issue. It attempts to remove a character from the world but it never works. After the second attempt you get kicked to a login screen I never seen. a pop up also asked for you to relog your credentials but this does nothing. I guess I will submit a petition.
