I use the site pretty often and haven't had any issues with malware or ransomware. I'd be lost without their content, that's for sure. With that said, there is something wonky about the site. It's very heavy, and runs slow because of that. Pages this simple shouldn't take this long to load. I visit the site on ad-blocked browsers and regular browsers, it's the same on both. When running ad-blocked, it blocks a record number of ads, like 40 or so per load of the page. Then the site has some kind of auto-refresh--WHY?--which just drags it down more.

I love ZAM, they are a great resource, but the site needs some love or something. There's too much scripting or too many ads or something that is clogging it up.

I've been using Alla's for 15+ years and never had an issue. The ads manage to get by uBlock Origin but I'm sure uBlock will figure that out. ;)

I have in two other threads. Its easy. Dump the ad agency. Or at least filter the scripts out so only images are fed to the site.

Send this link to your superiors, the ones who make the decisions, if you truly are trying to help:

95% of players here I daresay don't mind ads as they are a necessary evil. But no one wants ads that cycle through when they aren't clicking anything (that draws bandwidth), no one wants ads that cause the page layout to warp, no one wants ads that slow down the page, no one wants ads with hover over effects, no one wants ads that take up a good chunk of the page.

If you want proof of a bad ad, here you go:

Visiting the spells, 30% of the viewable area on a view of 1382x821 is ads. That's running chrome at near maximize in 1920x1080 resolution. The first ad is about 971x252 (I might be off a pixel or two since I measured it quickly in paint but if you all are worried about it, measure yourself, the pic is a PNG). Why the hell does the ad need to be 252 pixels tall?

Lets round that down to 250 for convenience. If I was running in Full Screen using F11 to get rid of borders. That's still a quarter of the top of the screen pushing ALL ZAM content down. Not to mention the amount of bandwidth used to push that image. Thankfully I do not have a metered connection. If I did, I couldn't afford to visit ZAM.

Then you have the nearly 300px monstrosity on the right hand side scrunching everything together. Basically taking a website that had looked decent for nearly 20 years and made it look like a badly written geocites/angelfire site.

Oh speaking of that.. this popped up while writing this:

That's right.. a video ad. And I would have clicked report if it didn't cycle to yet another random ad as I was getting the screenshot ready. So yeah.. I can't report ads and send you screenshots of them. They cycle during the process. Its either one or the other.

Thank you for your input. I am currently in emails right now with the ad company and I will bring up these issues.
