Did this brightness adjustment just "happen" to improve today?

I had heard that players on test were seeing a big improvement on the stuttering or something, wasn't sure since I don't play on test. And I was not having a stutter issue.

But all my accounts on live are showing a huge improvement in brightness/darkness way better than they were. I can see everything now, even dark items in my bags that weren't showing up before. The only bad thing still left is character's names are still quite florescent.

It does not appear that all those hours I spent making adjustments to my settings, video drivers etc had any impact or even were retained. If this is what it was supposed to be then its decent.

So while they did a patch on test today it appears something else is going on in the background for Live, unless I found that magical switch on my computer that "fixes it all"
