The illusion is much rarer than the familiar. Consider yourself lucky. The item is heirloom so you can move it around through shared bank.

The "Claim the Item" spell - 47334 is used on all of the claimable items from the Teir`Dal crate, but has a spell description that only makes sense for the familiars. This text appears if you inspect the spell and it doesn't affect which reward you will receive.
I can correct the text, but the clean fix would be changing the Teir`Dal crate rewards to use the new-and-improved item reward system instead of a dummy spell and a script.
