Ask your gastro. Usually they knock you out, but some people choose to remain awake for the procedure.
Make sure not to book the colonoscopy for patch day.

And if you're given the chance, even if pre-50, go for it. Earlier any problems detected the better.

Plus the risk of adverse side effects of anesthesia - though minimal.

Well I've had both. The Colonoscopy was faster and they gave me cool drugs.

I will take the rotorooter for health over the patch.
Colonoscopies are a finite amount of time, 48 Hour EQ patches are not.
And both can lead to you s#%^$ing your pants. One literally (had one last year, I know) and one figuratively.

Colonoscopy gives you all that good stuff:

• Fast (from food)
• Flush/Detox
• Pictures of a butt
• Drugs
• Nurses gawking. (I woke up from general anesthesia and jumped out of my bed with 4 female nurses staring at my junk).

Honestly, lost track of the days and didn't realize EQ was down. It's raid day, otherwise I wouldn't have noticed.

Colonoscopy is easy and fun... I've had 2.

The cleanse is refreshing albeit messy and a bit uncomfortable leading up to when the dam bursts.

You don't feel anything when you're anesthetized. 1-2-3, you're out, then you wake up like 45 minutes later.

The post-recovery is epic with other worldly flatulence.

The first meal after a colonoscopy is absolutely dreamy... after a day and a half with only clear liquids... you've never eaten food so good. I recommend ordering enough chicken souvlaki for four people, and then eating it all yourself!
