Thanks for arranging the upgrades but now I have to be lvl 250 to scribe it :)
Can we get a fix out please?

    Best regards

Really, did people never notice that the rank 1 they had before that worked was also level 250? This mechanic has not changed. Cast your level 101 just as you have been doing for two months.

Yea it's amazing me so many haven't figured out how they work yet. I've even heard this from some vets of the game. So once again, I'll explain this.

Every progression spell in the game is level 101. The Level 101 spell casts the highest rank you've earned level 250 spells. This was done so that none of the progression spells could be focused in way, shape, or form. They have been like this from day 1 of Beta. You memorize / cast the level 101 version only, then it will cast the level 250 versions. No need to make a new hotkey or spell gem, just keep using the level 101 version you been using for months. It will automatically cast the highest ranks you've earned to date.

It's only obvious to those who have played on Beta, and not even all of them. There has been no communication from the dev team to the player base how to properly use these spells, no explanation.

We've had ranked spells for years. You know that 'Fireball Rk. III' is better than 'Fireball' and you should use that.

Now you get 'Dichotomic Fireball' and 'Dichotomic Fireball 5' in your spell book... Of course you get confused!

DEVS: if you cannot hide the lv 250 spell, at least change its description to say something like, 'This spell cannot be memorized. Use Dichotomic Fireball'

Now Axxius, you know what happens to good ideas around here..............
  6. Sheex Goodnight, Springton. There will be no encores.

The devs ignore them, forum moderation is considered and the person who posted them gets trollolololed by the "community"? ^ . ^

you forgot the 20 pages of counter ideas and arguments as to why that idea is better than another idea.

***The following is just an example and in no way shape or form does it reflect my actual view***
Why not just select them out from being quick mem-ed? its not like ANYONE uses the spell book anymore! Really who the heck wants to look though and reorganize like 50 pages of spells every time? Or just use saved spell slots!

I totally agree. A simple 3 line explanation would have done the trick at the start of the expansion. Just a few simple paragraphs could have explained everything in the expansion and saved a lot of headaches / guess work. I asked for a simple breakdown of the expansion but apparently that's to much to ask. >< A 30 min post that at least explained the basics was all that was needed.

Think of the countless hours it would have saved. All those false /bug reports and petitions, all could have been avoided with a simple 30 min breakdown. I wonder if the Devs even realize how much time and money could have been saved by doing this. Or like you said, a simple description on the level 250 versions would have worked as well.

I never understood why those dummy spells need to be scribed in the first place. There are spell lines that auto-cast other spells that are not scribed, and they work just fine.

They went to great lengths and changed the code to auto-scribe these ones. Instead of changing the code to fix whatever issue that prevented them from being auto-cast without scribing.
