In the past devs have been against changing rulesets after the servers launched. If the new servers ever get merged together or with Agnarr it would force rule changes onto 1/3 - 2/3 of the PoP locked population. Now that you presumably have server mergers fixed, are you really going to keep 3 PoP locked servers open? Or will you merge everything into Rizlona eventually since moving to the least restrictive ruleset would be the fairest way of doing it?
Someone else has observed that merging the new servers into a 3rd server will be how DPG gets out of having to provide GM service, when one or both of the new servers stall and lose population. Makes sense to me given past corporate behavior.
I doubt they will be merged due to the unique rules of 2box and no Truebox, which makes all 3 POP locked servers unique. More likely scenario is they lose the "Dedicated" tag next year when the 2021 servers release, and those servers become the new Dedicated servers.
