Will pets equip EoK merc gear?

Couple questions

1. Will pets equip EoK merc gear like https://items.eqresource.com/items.php?id=148574 ?
2. Is there still no command to list all gear your pet has equipped?

Actually after days of no response, I was able to test #1 and found that pets will equip merc gear.

Well darn! Didn't know that. Bit expensive, perhaps?

Create new pet and give it a merc tank item to make sure pet accepts. Then try to give it a mage summoned item with less ac/hps for same slot. Pet gives the mage item back to you, when normally the pet would accept that mage item.

I think I tested with ear slot but cant be certain.

I tried this on my BL and was not able to get my new pet to take any merc gear. This is interesting as I'd keep merc gear on me all the time if this is true. This way, I can gear him up if he dies and I don't have time to make it back to more summoned gear.

Which is better?

Merc gear changed slots when it was upgraded with EoK. So it still might be using the primary and secondary slots with merc gear.
