Why is Selos exp so bad?

5ish hours a night every night and I'm just now hitting 150 without an AA group. For the average player an AA group is out of the question, and 5 hours a day is too. Still a bit low, unfortunately.

    I can tell you!

My group consists of: Warrior, Druid, Mage, Mage, Mage, Enchanter

It takes us roughly 45 seconds to kill one mob in the deep. That might be a bit high but i've not been timing it 100%. That's also without our mages dumping a nuke each on target (melee dps only from pets and warrior to be mana efficient per kill so we can continuously pull. Only bad pulls warrant nukes).

So 1 mob every 45 seconds, without really needing to rest ever unless a bad pull or train, and we end up with 45 minutes to kill 60 mobs. So we end up doing about 80 kills per hour.

That nets us about 3 AA per hour if we're hardcore pulling without resting, ever. Obviously there are going to be rebuff downtime, people taking minor breaks of concentration, getting food/drinks, bio breaks, time it takes to actually find a mob to pull, pulling the mob, etc. So we'll nudge that down to about 1.5 AA per hour which is what we average normally.

Our groups tend to run for about 5hours if we have no raids for the night, which is nearly every night now. So when we DO have time to play with a raid day it generally means we're maybe going to have time to earn 2 AA's for a single night.

That's REALLY bad btw. The Devs aren't taking into consideration how much guilds are having to raid to keep up with the unlock speed of this server. :(

45 seconds to kill a mob with a chanter and three mage pets? Even with mages not nuking there is no way that is accurate. A hasted charm pet alone probably kills a mob in less than 45 seconds. Unless you are going to tell me you aren’t charming on your chanter. I run six characters - chanter cleric mage mage wiz bard - and get an AA every 15 minutes in Griegs when nothing is going on. And I’m sure an actual group would be way more efficient because I don’t even sit the casters as I roam around the zone.

Before the fix the AA was absolutely terrible and I was quite vocal about it. Could it be a bit faster than it is now? Sure. But let’s also not forget the days where getting one AA in 2.5 hours was considered amazing.
