Who else is ready with popcorn?

I am not planning on playing on Teek the first week or so of launch. I won't be raiding till Velious at the earliest so I have 3+ months to meander my way to 60. I am going to be watching the drama unfold while I mess around on the EQ2 Origins beta. I am curious who else has actually learned the lessons of the past decade and decided to wait till week 2.

What lessons?

Queue will suck for the first couple of days. Not sure what else there is as a "lesson" that would make people wait until week 2.

I'll be sitting in the queue day 1 trying to get in. I'm expecting it to be rough. I won't be about it, I know it's coming and I'm prepared. Once I'm in, I'll be good.

We both know the forums will be flooded with angry nerds who waited in a queue for 6 hours only to be booted 15 minutes after they finally get in. There will be posts about people using autoclickers to stay in game, there will be posts about how the 6 boxer got in but I can't. Posts about how the queue gets longer every time they refresh it. Posts about how there are people who are already 20 and they haven't even been able to log in and they should wipe the server. Should really set up a launch day Bingo card.

I have my doubts about the queue being gone in a few days. I think you are underestimating how popular Teek will be, now that people know how the server ruleset plays out long term.

I'll try to get in for an hour or 2 while watching something on the TV, then bed to be up around the time those of you across the pond start driffing off to bed and try again. LOL

I'll be with the popcorn too. First month is go all out earning kronos. So I'll be watching Twitch and farming kronos. Any good twitch channels you recommend? Or anyone recommend?

Lesson I learned is EASY kronos 1st 2 weeks.
Lesson I learned is pay the PL early, ASAP.
I already got my PL spot, I'm excited to get to 60 faster than 99% of the players that intend on playing on Teek.
Lesson I learned you max level you get the items no contest, the items high value at the time.

I bought PL 3 kronos,
by end of week 2 I anticipate having 30-50 kronos.
If you think thats crazy, think about how many kronos the PL'ers are earning.
Heres some math, say PL has 20 accounts. thats 20 kronos they have to consume.
Now they PL 50 people 3kr each. thats 150kr.
end of the month they up 130 kronos and they have 20 accounts that have good characters on it. Massive win.
ON TOP OF THAT, they can do 3 to 4 different raids, they do naggy 3-4 times, get items that sell kronos. 130+ if you doing any raids say you got 10 items worth krono, thats 140 kronos now.

This is a TLP section, so past decade of playing TLPs, what have you learned.

You seemed to be exaggerating "what lessons???" since you also said "que will suck?" so I used your intro into the lessons I learned, in a more positive tone.

I'm going into this fun, popcorn ready, already got my PL set, already got gameplan ready.
Those 20 raid guilds already formed they probably got gameplan too.

There is people rushing to 60 they got a gameplan.

Only thing we need is Twitch stream listing. Gotta my drama in, good laughs and having fun.

None of the things you listed in your first reply to me are lessons which would have someone wait to play until week 2. Which is the comment I was replying to.

Oh wait to week 2? oh heck no, if someone waiting to week 2 they didn't really learn their lesson. Day 1 yeah usually first 2 hours is clogged, after that or if you still winning during the clog, yeah who cares, every game has it. Part of the rush is dealing with that and you still rushing to 60.

I love when people say no. Drama begins, I play a lot of PvP games I love PvP, you challenging me for these named mobs, ancients, thats PvP but not PvP, PvPvE.

I see they responded so you got your answer, you may have swayed their answer, they might have had other lessons they wanted to say.

If you worried about the ques and server or zone crash.

This what you need to do,
you already know your name already your character customization.
Login ASAP.
Know the route to get the heck outta the starter zone ASAP. Level to and past 20 ASAP. Now your not in those clogged zones and "starter city is down" "yeah its been down for 3 hours".

You rushing 60 you screwed you in a zone that has been down and they still working on bringing up. Thats why you need to learn a lesson get the outta the clogged zones, keep playing EQ, stay ahead of the pack.

BUY PL, be end game early ASAP.

I'm also gonna check out EQ2, tried the last progressive but the stat/gear change was just not fun I remember raiding EQ2 when you had multiple sets of gear, probably my fave MMO experience to date along with early Aion

definitely won't have any queue issues there
