Which is better for Ranger dps on classic TLP?

    People arguing that blackened alloy bastard sword out dps smoldering brand/mudman enforcer, and vice versa.

    Anyone have any parses, that can prove which one? Im trying to find, but having no luck/

    I would be interested in this too, but expanding this to include planes drops like
    Revultant Whipe and Fluxbladed axe.

    Also, how do all these compare to Blackened Alloy Bastard Sword?

    It probably will vary based on whether you are tanking the npc or not, as riposte from a babs will be stronger.

    Additionally, casting spells will matter, as you can cast a spell that cuts into the point in time when a weapon would swing much more easily with the lower delay options in there.

    The best thing you can do to UP your DPS as a ranger on the new servers is to re roll as a different class =D

    For instance:

    Zone geared maxed level mage > maxed level fully geared ranger

    In fact the mage pets will out take you too! =D

    ok ok.. The best thing you can do is get both and run some parse yourself =D

    Ratio always wins. The Mudman Enforcer slightly edges out as best in slot for Rangers in Vanilla EQ. So slightly it's splitting hairs over a Black Alloy Bastard Sword.
