When I logged in today most of my hotbars were empty. My macros all still exist in the actions window but they and spells are mostly missing from the hotbars. But not all. On hotbar 1 I should have all my spell gems - missing. But on hotbar 1 page 2 there is lesson of the devoted and a few others. Those are still there. Weird. I have a lot and its going to take a bit to get them back the way I like. Is there a file somewhere that stores that info or is it serverside? I might have it backed up. Ive tried restoring myname_bristle.ini. That stores macros but not hotbar loadout. edit: Also tried restoring UI_myname_bristle from backup. no go edit2: There has to be a file. I logged into eq on my laptop and everything is still there.
The file is in the main EQ folder. Scroll on down and you will see several files listed as "Name_Server" with a 2nd line that says "Type Configuration settings". The file lists blocked spells as well as each page and button for that character. Hopefully you have a backup somewhere.
