What raid effects/mobs mem blur in CotF?

I ask because some of our tanks, dps and pet classes are getting rather vocal with each other.

Add in a few new raiders making their share of mistakes, and it can get ugly.

An easy example is the Soul Hammer done by Guard Teclisin in Ethernere - The Defense of Lendiniara. You get FD'ed so it is easy to see by most.(sometimes the warrior pet, other re-occurring effects can keep you targeted when this happens, but I tend to have to spam the /stand key for this guy. He proc's it on me a lot)

Lieutenant Rolth's Groundswell is another that many people are not aware of. Get thrown up, go to 0 aggro, and watch the pets get aggro quickly. Then hear tanks and pet owners going at it.

Efreeti Lord Aresh dropped the warrior to 0 aggro x4 times on our last attempt. Is this one too?

I know they have added this mechanic more and more to prevent the lock down of a mob, but it could stop some fight if we knew one way or the other.

    Appreicate any help.

I wish they'd do away with the "FD-tank" mechanic on raids like WK2 and PoWar. It's simply not fun playing a tank on those.

For me, it's not an aggro challenge, once I get used to the raid my success rate is >90%. The way EQ is coded, if you stand up fast enough it's as if nothing happened. Spamming /stand for a few minutes (or in the case of VZ in PoWar, 10-20 minutes) is quite annoying. It's expected of every tank to deal with FD so it's not producing the desired results from the devs, it just annoys the hell out of tanks. On some of these raids I press /stand over 1,000 times, and I spam it at a slower rate than most tanks, and usually wait 10 seconds to start spamming again after a FD.

If you want to force a tank change, the best way is a blur+stun like on Findlewill in Xorbb 1. Even mezzing the tank has problem, we can /shield out of 1 mez, but tank mezzes are usually too long. A 6-10 second stun gets the job done.

You can be guaranteed that at 70% and 30% you are going to lose aggro on Rolth. Usually compounding with the fact that he is normally the burn mob makes him a bit of trouble from a tanking perspective. Just make sure you have tanks spamming aggro as soon as they see the main tank out of HoTT box.

I have never heard of Aresh having a mem blur effect, but he has a slow push, which, if a pet is higher aggro than the tank is going to cause some issues. Also, if the tank used projection aggro, there is a bug in which it can reset your aggro to 0 on any mob. We haven't personally seen any issues with Aresh in this regard.

some of our tank have bound the /stand to their mouse /wheel up or /wheel down ( friction-less mouse wheel).

give it a good swing every 40 sec or so and you are good.

it's definatly not one of EQ best mechanics...

/stand in your aggro bind helps.

Yeh Rolth has almost rounded me when he FDs tanks and I am burning with a 2hander.

Not only should you have /stand, but also "/attack on" if you don't want to keep turning it on.
