Its no different in real life really. If he makes a profit and you do as well its all good. As for the person saying the lowest price isnt the one to sell first, well thats just stupid. Who the hell doesnt go to the car lot with the lowest price in town? Oh , right, mr megabucks perhaps.
Sounds like some of the tradeskill mats are way overpriced in baz. Some of them are dropped in EoK too(conflagrant diamonds for example). So people who are farming there, will also make the price go down in a few weeks, assuming they aren't vendored. I also think that traders who tries to sell stuff, greatly over-estimate the wealth of their costumers...
Have to say that those high prices some mention, you gotta be too rich or less smart to buy. Those items should really not cost above 25k TOP.
People are buying from my trader at 200k on the item when the lowest price in bazaar is 60k. People aren't that smart as you think.
Guess some not smarter than the average bear... Guess habits, bought something from a person who sold something and then buy again from same, even if expensive.
The person pricing bellow the costs of mats to make item is doing so to push out bazaar mat acquiring sellers of finished item. Because the above person has acquired mats for bellow the cost that item is selling for. By driving down the cost of finished item bellow the costs of mats to make it he removes ability of bazaar competition to produce those items from mats available in bazaar. It's actually easy thing to do. Because the people selling mats will ignore the fact that their priced above finished item sell price for a good long while.
No it isn't. Some of the bought mats for the combines cost a lot of plat. Some items that is not the case, visible armor for example, but the JC stuff is VERY expensive to make.
If you want to know what materials are worth, type /barter and search. This is what tradeskillers are willing to pay for the component to make the finished product. On my server, /barter buyers are paying 10-12k for a Conflagrant Diamond. If tradeskillers are overproducing to get the skillups as an easier path to 350, this can drive the price down as well.
