I've played in one zone in ToL so far (Maiden's Eye) and I liked it all. The models, the zone layout, the quests. Most importantly, I like that it's more content that my friends and I can play in. I know some people are griping that it's a copy-paste hamster wheel, but I don't care. Running on a hamster wheel is just fine if you're busting your buddy's chops at the same time.
One must clear the Basilica mission to enter Bloodfalls. EQ had locked things as well, notably a level 46 requirement to enter the planes. But, by and large, there's no TBL-style progression.
As usual, there are some funny/clever NPC names, eg. the Bloodfalls quest involving Abe Blinkin and Hans Velsing! The rock golems that roll up are really cool. We should have an illusion for that! I love the architecture in Ka Vethan and Basilica.
