warriors dont worry about the new patch

    It looks like I got my butt kicked on test, but 2 hand tanking a white con giant was SMOOTH on test. Just merc on reactive and all was well in 2 hand stance tanking. My hp was pretty stable on test.
    There is also a little update to Wars Sheol's Heroic on test that I LOVED:)

    A more than 10% increase in average hit doesn't seem like nothing to worry about.

    well it is a short parse, but with that AC gain it doesn't seem like the CS part of 2 hand stance is even working? (if it inhibited it and showed it against your current AC you should see a like 400ish loss vs live, not a 200ish gain which is basically what the 26% soft cap boost should basically gain you)

    Spell Effect (SPA Affected)

    SPA 382 is a suppression effect, but I don't think the value worked as intended.
    I believe instead SPA should have been 259 and the value as -108 to counter CS+PE.

    Or maybe I am reading it wrong, but it seems like its only removing 259 HP.

    I'll have to log in again to check later, but I recall losing about 800 AC for switching to my 2Hander on Test.

    Giants don't actually hit hard, they just have buckets of health (I think 3-4x standard HPs) and 2 nukes (one DD and one AE) that can cause damage spikes or disruption for heals.

    I don't recall any changes to War Sheol's.

    The AC loss I mentioned earlier was for switching equipment, not comparing Live to Test.


    Live:
    S&B: 6250 (6827 w/ Field Protector & Stout Defense)
    2H: 5499 (6076 w/ FP & SD)
    AC loss from S&B to 2H: 751

    Test:
    S&B: 6432 (7009 w/ FP & SD)
    2H: 5682 (6259 w/ FP & SD)
    AC loss from S&B to 2H: 750

    AC saw gains on Test of 182 for S&B, and 183 for 2H.
    No changes to HPs between Live and Test.

    So the patch went live... and there is a huge work around.
    Disable weapon stances.
    Weapon stances off 2 hander.

    Note this only works well for 2 hand stance. I tried it with sword and board and died.

    What was your DPS for the parse. I only ask cause disabling weapons stance takes away the 110% to damage, so what is the point of using the stance unless you just want to tank in it as an FU to the Devs

    I enjoy being able to kill a mob with just me and my healer merc.
    It took longer to kill with weapon stances off, but I was never in danger of dying like I was with weapon stances on. My health hit 6 or 7 percent numerous times with weapon stances on.

    The whole idea is so that lower end warriors can go kill a few mobs molo while they LFG.

    The absorbs are from pain doesnt hurt

    I like the idea of 2h weapon stance making a tank unable to tank.
    If your tanking, your not a dps class.
    Tanks already have the crazy ability to act like a dps class (dps classes cant change stance and be warriors unless they have raid gear)

    So, the suppression SPA is working. It is working so well that Combat Stability becomes permanently suppressed until you toggle Weapon Stances ("have you tried turning it off and back on again?"). The value of AC gained from Combat Stability appears to be ~460, gauging the difference between S&B AC before 2H and S&B AC after 2H, also comparing 2H AC with Weapon Stances on versus Weapon Stances off.
