Want to destroy a toon but transfer stuff off it first... ?

Can I send my various stuffs (money, armor etc) to an alt before deleting a character? If so, how do I go about this. Sorry if this is a ridiculously newb question, but I can't figure it out (yeah I might have a touch of the downs). Thanks to anyone who assists!

Put it in the shared bank

Where is that at?

Any banker npc, open it up and there are 4 slots that are shared on the account, you can put bags there and fill those too.

For money, there's a platinum coin box under the bags

If this is on a progression server, use caution if you do have all 4 shared bag slots instead of 2. The 2 extra shared slots weren't added until later.

Mail it to your alt. Can transfer 50 items that way.

Well technically in classic you didn't have any shared slots; the first two weren't added until the June 2003 (was 4 months after LoY came out). The second two weren't added until Call of the Forsaken came out a couple years ago. All that said, the first two were not specifically tied to the expansion (LoY), and the Dev's might have decided that they only serve as a convenience and not an increase in power and left them alone.
