The optional step on this mission is to finish it within 72 minutes. Anyone have any tips on how to actually do that? Just running around finding the correct trees took longer than that.
Repetition and familiarity with the zones is very helpful. As a shadow knight I can generally complete the task in about 40 minutes; spending no more than 8-10 minutes in RT. Ensure the emotes indicating direction are not being obscured by other spam; if you never see the next tree is west, this will cause you to waste time searching trees that are not west. Move systematically through the trees and try to remember which ones had the marks as it will not send you to the same tree twice. During the windsong portion, ensure that you are running straight at the tree, not turning or strafing; upon successful update you will be turned to face the next tree. Using the map and having points for the trees can help isolate which you need to run to. Invis to undead is beneficial in windsong to allow you to ignore the instruments. The 2 ambushers have in the neighborhood of 2 million hit points, at level 95 this may still be challenging if you don't do much dps solo/molo so ask for help if needed. Hope this helps.
