You won't see this "officially fixed" because the ONLY reason for the VM ban is to support the wild claims of TrueBox and to allow DBG to spy on your computer, which is a marketing plan. DBG believes they make more money by banning VMs than they would make by allowing them. Until you can change their mind on that, I think we're all forced to choose between playing EQ and protecting ourselves from predators.
