Hey, I recently saved the game to my external HDD and transferred the files to my wifes system so she could play the game as well to save downloading it again. Whats happening is her UI is not saving and every time she starts up the launcher, its automatically trying to log mine in even though she is selecting the remember me check box. Is there some log file I can delete so it will save her login info and a way to force save a UI set up please?
Two separate accounts right? You could try deleting your char ini and char server ini files so when the launcher comes up hers is the only account showing. But the launcher will show any account that has used that icon to log in so if that doesn't work just delete, reinstall from website and only log in with her account. It does not take that long to download. The UI files are the ones in game that show your chat screen, spell bars, target screens etc. So once she gets logged in then it is showing your UI? With your set up for where the little screens and windows bar and all that are placed?
If she is making changes to her UI settings/placement, does she X out of the game or does she actually /camp out? If she is X out of the game /smacks.. EQ is not a browser, if it is not logged out properly several pieces of info is not saved properly. eqlsPlayerData.ini is the file that saves the last account logged into. Delete it but if she not exiting the game properly the new info may not be saved properly, or if files were marked read only, then follow the next set of instructions. Two, if it was copied over, depending on how it was copied, go to her EQ folder, right click on the EQ folder, properties, uncheck the READ ONLY attributes (select subfolders when it comes up).
