While attacking all my UI windows disappear. They also disappear while at times while panning up and down or right and left. This is very disorienting. I am using default UI no upgrades. I am playing on a laptop so this could be hardware related but everything else seems in order and pretty lag free.
Daft question - you've not managed to bind a key to the "hide UI" function have you? Check the key binding in the Options screen. (don't know what it's called offhand, but I *think* it defaults to F10) - if EQ has managed to bind it to the same key you use to attack, it could cause the problem you mention!
You may want to make backups and then delete the following files: defaults.ini eqclient.ini eqgame.exe EQGfx_Dx8.dll EQGraphicsDX9.dll eqlsClient.ini eqmain.dll Also, back up the character configuration files by following these instructions: <CharacterName>_<ServerName>.ini (example jack_bristlebane.ini) UI_<CharacterName>_<ServerName>.ini (example ui_jack_bristlebane.ini) One or more of those files may be corrupt, causing these issues. If deleting these files does not resolve your issue, you can restore your backed up files and folders and retain your hotkeys, contact lists, and display settings.
