TY for the patch, now how about Di'Zok quest spawn times.

Two mobs for this quest are on 1 and 3 day spawns:

    http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=1888

That means ~33 people can accomplish this quest during each expansion, so about 100 people can do it before PoP is released, by then the quest is irrelevant. Even by time the last expansion is released, no where near the entire population can get this quest done, not to mention boxes and alts.

The long spawns made sense when the game was new; few people knew about it, the faction was much harder, and there was much more time. Now it only makes sense to update the spawn time with the time constraints of the TLPs.

Well I won't be doing this quest so -1 from your competition.

Don't talk sense to dbg. Talk dollars and cents.

I already made this observation several times too .
The long spawns were designed at a time when people were levelling slowly , the knowledge of spawn locations and delays was low and the duration of expansions was long .

Today on TLPs people go from 50 to 60 in 3 days, every information is instantly available on the net and expansions last an eye blink .

Your comment can be generalized on every single quest using long spawns coming from another age .
The exactly same problem made out of the enchanter's epic the by far most insane "sit and stare on an empty screen" epic so that most enchanters don't even start it .
By the same estimate as you did, there cannot mechanically be more than 30-40 enchanters who can do the quest in era while there are some 300 + level 60 enchanters .
By contrast in 2000 at the end of Kunark almost all level 60 enchanters had their epic because it is not intrinsically "difficult" it just needs time to stare on screens .
    Same for SKs .
    Etc , etc .

I fully support the necessity to review the very long spawn delays which are no more consistent with the TLPs demographics and expansion durations .
I am aware that it can't be done in 1 day but it is certainly a big issue for future TLP servers .

There are probably 100+ people that have already completed this quest and we're only one month into Kunark. In my guild alone we have 11 people that have finished it, and we'll have 3 more done tonight. It's not unreasonable to complete at all, given how good the rewards are.

You do it the same way we used too, in the olden days when we walked up hill in the snow to finish quests in EQ that we tried for weeks and weeks to obtain. Welcome to 1999! or thereabouts.

You just spawn a new pick and finish the quest... it isn't that hard. If you have a guild that cares about its members its doable! :D

If thats ur solution u are part of the problem

These are raid quality items, and damn good ones, that are doable solo. Or you can force a pick with a raid. Get good or get friends.

How long until this game is nothing but these 'get good' dorks? The game won't last that way.

The get good comment was legit. I got my shady goblin by thinking about the problem and coming up with a better solution than the other dozen fools that were standing there attempting to turn in. Or you can make it easy by spawning a pick.
