Trying to come back

So I have been gone for a long time. I decided to come back. I logged in and made a new character. Me and the barbarian in the jail killed the jailer and I gave him the key. I then followed the instructions and clicked on "ok" so that he would lead me to the prisoner riot but he just stands there and did for 5 minutes. I logged out and back in and he was gone. I made a second character and the same thing happened.

So I would love to get back into the game, but I cant seem to get past the tutorial. Help!

Hail him after you hand him the key

Or just choose to skip the tutorial. You can do this on character creation screen or choose enter world on logging in again instead of enter tutorial.

Once in the game you can go see Secalna Galnor in PoK and she will send you back so you can then get all the goodies from the quests.

whenever you are interacting with an NPC, hailing or dialogue, always have him targeted. You can hail the wind for hours and it wont matter until you target the quest NPC
