Whenever a Necro casts Combust Bones, or any spell within that line, it triggers the effect of Smoldering Bones. The Smoldering Bones effect transforms the NPC's body type to undead for 12 seconds. However, after this spell effect has worn off, you can not change the NPC's body type to Plant using the Druid's spell Skin to Seedlings for as long as the NPC is alive.

    Smoldering Bones
    2: Transform Body Type (3)

    Skin to Seedlings
1: Increase Incoming Spell Damage by 1%
2: Limit: Max Level(105) (lose 10% per level over cap)
    3: Limit: Effect (Hitpoints allowed)
4: Limit: Spell Type (Detrimental only)
    5: Limit: Resist (Fire allowed)
6: Limit: Combat Skills Not Allowed
    7: Transform Body Type (25)

This has been a bug for a very long time and would like to hear from a Dev if this will actually ever get fixed.

The following should be corrected in the next full patch:
    • When a spell that changes the body type of a target wears off of that target other spells that change the body type of the target should correctly land on the target.
    • Spells that change the body type of a target will not land on a target if that target already has a spell that has changed its body type unless the new spell and the old spell have the effect in the same slot and apply the same body type:
      • This allows spells in the same line to overwrite one another but prevents differing spell lines from causing the body type of the target to get into an unpredictable state.
    • The Druid Skin to Vines spell line has been given a stacking group to ensure the highest rank of the highest spell in the line overwrites and blocks earlier versions.

    Sweet fix.

I'm slightly concerned about the bolded part, due to the duration variances between these spell types. What I mean is, I don't know that it's best to have to wait out a longer-duration version of one of these body change spells if it's not the one you're after, just because someone got overeager and cast a debuff they weren't supposed to. Overwriting any existing body change spells might be better, if it can be done without breaking the game.

**EDIT -- That said, this proposed change is still a vastly superior situation than the current way the game handles this.
